Ocean Poems Cont.

(The first two poems are in the post below if you haven't already seen them)

Waves

Foamy white horses charge onto the beach
tossing their manes in the breeze.

Azure water turns from green to gray
the sea grows restless and
churning water marks a storm.

Thunder growls and rain patters onto large waves.

Soon everything calms down
blue-gray waves quietly lap the shore
gently cradling gleaming shells and bits of brain coral.

Maroon seaweed lies discarded on white sand
waiting for the waves to carry it back
to the salty water from which it came.

  1. These are really great poems. And I'm not just saying that. Sometimes poetry can be boring but your imagery is very nice. My favorite thing here is the horse metaphor. Amazing!!
