Good news!!!!! There are now Christmas songs and only Christmas songs on our radio station! Whoohoo!! Bad news:I got a B- on a math test. Good news again: I can retake it next week. Also, on Saturday Papa,Sophie, Julia and I delivered turkey dinners to 4 families in need by Papa's school. Anyway, stay tuned for Thanksgiving updates!

Snow!

Snow, glorious snow!!! I am sooooo happy! Phase 2: Christmas songs on the radio.
And soon enough, my birthday and Christmas! I might even be in the school yearbook. My teacher who also runs the yearbook commitee, took pictures of my friends and I playing and dancing in the snow! What a fantastic, snowy day.

Westernaires

Today we went and saw a really awesome westernaire show. There were stunt riders,bareback riders and even a cavalry reenactment. It was super cool. That's all for today.

There is a Place

This was a poem I wrote in school. Can you guess where these places are?

There is a place I've seen, its beauty, rustic and quiet.
A place with a small lake surrounded by trees and a rough white fence as it's guard.

There is a place I've been, with flamboyant, firey trees and chilly air and picnic tables for eating pizza.
High up on a mountain.

There is a place I've heard of, where ponies roam freely and glaciers and caves dot the land.
There is a house there where books are translated from one language to another.

There is a place I know of, where humid air blankets everyone and dolphins swim in cool blue water and swans swim outside restaurants.
Where everyone has biked down a volcano.

There is a place I've imagined, with peaceful days and calm nights and golden sunlight and dreaming clouds everywhere.
I place I wish existed.

Tests!

Ugh! We've been having a lot of tests lately. Today we had an acuity test in Language arts ( or as Lauren likes to call it, a cutie test) and we just got our social studies test back. I got marked down 0.5 points because of a silly mistake. Sigh. Yesterday most people got their schedules changed around because they're taking away the "Honors" label. Mine is exactly the same as it was before except no honors label. Hopefully we won't get anymore tests. Anyway I've got to brush my teeth. Keep reading!!!!

Labor Day Weekend

On Friday Papa and Grandpa Bob drove down to Texas to bring my old bed down to Lisa. So for the rest of the weekend, it's a household of girls.On Saturday we ate breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, went to the Antique mall (which made me sneeze ALOT) and then lounged around the house and watched home movies. Today we swam at Grandma and Granpa R.'s pool and went to Flatirons. Tomorrow we're going to have a beauty day. I'll keep you posted!

School Orientation and Lakeside

Yesterday I went to my school orientation. We toured the school, found and opened our lockers, and even got free snacks from the cafetorium. I'm very excited and to make it better my locker's in a primo location. It's really easy to open. The girl who has the locker above me was having trouble with her locker so I'll probably be helping her in the few spare minutes that I might have. After shopping with Mama we went over to Lakeside. We rode roller coasters, The Whip, merry go round, and a ride that went upside down and stayed like that for maybe 30 seconds. I think I died a little bit up there. When we were upside down I floated out of my seat. It was a great day.

Schedule!!!!!!!!!

OMG! I just got my school schedule! I've been waiting for it all summer!!!!! I screamed when I saw Mama holding it. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!!!! I'll keep you all posted!!

Today I got my haircut to get ready for back to school. I went to my mom's hair lady. Now I feel like a model. If I do say so myself!

The other day my friend Lauren got a cellphone! Now almost all my friends have phones!!Sniff sniff. Oh well. Sigh.I wanna phone!! :( I am pretty sad but at least I won't turn into a texting freak.

Road Trip!!!

Over the past few days my family and I went on an amazing roadtrip to see some of Colorado's natural and historic wonders. It all started with a 6 hour drive to Mesa Verde or translated to, Green Table (I think). This is the view from our room:

One of the fist sites we saw was a Farview site.

We also saw Mummy Lake which is a reservoir that the Ancestral Puebloans made.

After that, we saw a view of Spruce Tree House:

Soon it began to get late so we retired to our room but we didn't fall asleep until reading for awhile and some major goofing around.

Tired!!!

Two days ago I went to Elitches for the first time!!! It was for my friend's b-day party. I rode on Chaos, The Tower of Doom, Mind Eraser, Side Winder, Boomerang, Twister 2 and more! We stayed for the laser show and danced our buns off! After that, we went back to my friend's house. We ate pizza, ice-cream, played Band Hero and watched Freaky Friday although most of us fell asleep halfway through ;) today I am so tired!!!!!! On the bright side, tonight we are going to one of my favorite resteraunts, a chinese buffet called The Great Wall. I'll try to stay awake!! Stay tuned for my next post!
