Today in language arts, we had to write 6-word stories inspired by an author who's name I can't remember right now. Here are a few of mine:
The girl glares. One less friend.
Wagon dust rises up. Good-bye home.
I stole bread. Now I hang.

Sand
Grains of sand sit
dreaming of better bays
Being washed away and back
A vacation every day
When tucking shells away
was their only job
When little children played in the salty water
learning how to bob
Sorrowful grains of sand sit
hoping for better days
Only wanting to be carried
far, far away
On quiet nights
they plead their plights
to the ocean oh so close!
And every day they plead and say,
"Ocean you are the only way!"
But still, grains of sand sit
dreaming of better bays
Being washed away and back
A vacation every day.
