Here's a new poem I just wrote. I'm not so sure about it though. Any opinions??

Prairie Life

Long grass sways in the wind,
A meadowlark sings
its repetitive tune,
Coyotes bark and howl-- preparing to hunt,
A hawk makes lonely circles in the sky,
Indian Paintbrush adds
a touch of color to the endless yellow here and there,
The plains whisper ancient stories and legends,
The sun settles behind a rolling hill and
a full harvest moon dances lightly on the land.
This, this is prairie life.

  2. Very nice! My only suggestion is that "it's" should be "its." You are a very good poet.. I have never been much of one myself. :/
I hope you will keep posting them if you write more!! :)

  3. By the way the imagery is very nice.
For some reason I like this part best:
"A hawk makes lonely circles in the sky."
